When DCL-Disney Cruise Line turns 25 next year, the 5 ships in its fleet will host anniversary voyages over the summer months with updated decor, merchandising, and entertainment.
There will be new uniforms for Capt. Minnie Mouse and Capt. Mickey Mouse with multicoloured fabric/swirling motifs inspired by ocean waves, along with a new trademark tune that is expected to be played during the journey.
All during the voyage, passengers will enjoy anniversary-themed food & drinks while enjoying new family-friendly activities that will culminate in anniversary-themed nighttime experiences.
Disney’s ‘Shimmering Seas Collection,’ available to vacationers, will include drinkware, clothes, accessories, souvenirs, and much more, all of which will feature a brand new distinctive colour.
According to DCL’s senior vice president and general manager, “for two and a half decades, Disney Cruise Line has developed an outstanding heritage of providing wonderful holiday memories for families worldwide.”
“Of course, our dedicated cast and crew members, who constantly give exceptional service and create enchantment at sea for our guests every day, are at the heart of our anniversary celebration. We can’t wait for the summer of 2023 to celebrate our 25th anniversary with all of our young and old guests who have sailed with us before as Castaway Club members or will be sailing with us for the first time.”
To celebrate Disney’s silver anniversary, Capt. Minnie Mouse and Capt. Mickey Mouse will don anniversary uniforms and appear on select voyages decked out in celebratory attire.
A brand new trademark song will serve as the soundtrack of the event in various ways during the cruises. New family-friendly activities and entertainment will culminate in nighttime experiences designed for the anniversary celebration.

Cruisers may celebrate this special silver anniversary in style from May through to September 2023.
From May 24th to September 4th, the Disney Magic ship will set sail from PortMiami Florida, to visit ports in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Disney Wonder is due to sail on Alaskan voyages from May 15th to September 11th. Disney Dream will make European and transatlantic cruises from Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida) from May 7th through September 17th, while Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will sail on Caribbean voyages from the same port.
